Penang is an easy walkable city filled with many temples serving Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam and Christianity. Although Malay is the official language, English is widely spoken especially in businesses. Penang has almost 2 million inhabitants with about a million living in the Georgetown area which is the capital of Penang.

Of the many temples, do not miss the Reclining Buddha who is about 105 feet long.
